Your clubs, teams and activities are part of your education, not an extra. WUB recognises and supports student clubs, societies, sports, and cultural and creative activity, and runs a student council so students have a real voice. Taking part builds the leadership, teamwork and confidence employers look for β and itβs where youβll find your people.
Building Communities on Campus
Structured & Accountable
Every recognised club has a constitution, an elected student committee, a faculty adviser, an annual plan and accountable finances.
Inclusive & Open
Clubs are open to all students regardless of background, include students with disabilities, and ensure women can take part and lead.
Start Your Own Club
Want to start a club? Applications are decided within 20 working days, with reasons given if refused and a right of review.
Representing WUB
We publish an annual co-curricular calendar and support students who represent the University in inter-university, national and international sports, cultural and academic competitions.
Your Voice at WUB
The student council, elected under a published constitution, represents every Faculty and includes postgraduate, international and evening/part-time students, women and students with disabilities. Students also sit on the committees that shape the student experience.
Growing as a Leader
We run a leadership development programme for student office-bearers and organise regular community service and volunteering, with your participation recorded and outstanding contribution recognised.
