The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) is the University’s permanent home for the support students need outside the classroom. We are responsible for scholarships and financial aid; counselling and wellbeing; the medical centre; academic support and helping students who are struggling; careers, placement and alumni relations; clubs, sports and the student council; support for international students; disability and inclusion; and student conduct, safety, grievance handling and the prevention of harassment, bullying and ragging.
We are the University’s single point of accountability for the student experience beyond teaching, and we are the University’s reporting owner for Standard 6 of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council Accreditation Manual and Area 6 of the UGC Self-Assessment Manual. In everything we do, we aim to be lawful, fair and consistent, to keep confidences, to be genuinely reachable, and to measure what we do so we can improve it.
